It is told that during the campaign against Chiem Thanh, this general chose the area of present-day Chau communal house as his headquarters, building an important strategic base.
During the resistance war against the French colonialists, this relic area was an important revolutionary base. Military Region III chose Chau Pagoda as an arsenal to forge weapons and ammunition, supplying the front lines. This was also where Major General Hoang Sam came to discuss and direct troop training in 1947, and the location for the first medical and doctor training course in our country, led by Professor Hoang Dinh Cau. In addition, Chau Communal House had the honor of receiving former General Secretary Do Muoi, who visited and encouraged the people to contribute human and material resources to the resistance.
